David Olsen is lead vocalist, guitarist and one of the excellent songwriters for the band. He’s an award winning singer/songwriter from the Twin Cities. For the last few years he has worked as the music director at his church and has traveled extensively as an independent musician.
Besides having a music performance degree in guitar, David has recently completed his “Master of Divinity” degree.
He loves snowboarding, competing in triathlons and spending time with his beautiful wife Erin and their yellow lab Chloe.

What CD is playing in your car right now? Coldplay, Switchfoot, John Mayer, & Dave Barnes
What is the best thing about being an artist? creating art, inspiring people, and expressing myself
What is the worst thing about being an artist? Fast food
Biggest career embarrassment: Playing a solo acoustic concert and then tripping on my face at the end when I walked off stage.
Most memorable career concert: Playing a show at the University of Minnesota and raising money for my friend with cancer.
Most memorable moment in creating your most recent record: Finding a pair of drum sticks in the studio that was covered with a bunch of hair. It was so random, but we laughed so hard trying to figure out where it came from and how it happened.
What is your favorite hometown hangout? the REX (old school movie theater)
What is something you want others to know about you? I don't know how to dance and I'll always look awkward trying.
Who has been the most influential person in your career? My Dad
How did you get into the music industry? I played a lot of music in college and traveled a lot as an independent musician. I recorded a demo CD and had a lot of opportunities through having other people hear my music. Eventually I was connected with the right people at the right time.

Worst fear: Having my face on fire and then tripping out of a high window and landing in water and drowning.

What is the number one thing you hope people get out of your music? I hope people are inspired to love authentically and live courageously.
